Meet Tucker Pierce
Tucker Pierce (She/Her) has been sewing portraits at events across the St. Louis region and beyond since 2015. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Printmaking, Tucker has a passion for drawing, for thread and for creating interactive art experiences that bring people together.
Tucker has sewn portraits at weddings, bar & bat mitzvahs, company parties and other special events all across the Midwest. All in all, she’s sewn thousands and thousands of faces and pets over the years.
Before starting Sewn Portraits, Tucker was the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Westminster Press, an art gallery, printmaking studio and consignment storefront that focused on highlighting work by artists of marginalized identities, inclusive of trans & LGBT folk, people of color, women artists and other creatives that lack representation in the art world.
